Developing a brand identity and a charming property brochure for the Jarvis Homes’ development, Rookery End

Challenge

Jarvis needed a high quality property brochure

Rookery End is a new residential development in the Hertfordshire village of Offley, comprising six luxury barn-style contemporary homes, surrounded by idyllic countryside and beautiful views. Jarvis Homes needed a high quality property brochure to promote the scheme and, following the success of the brochure Oyster designed to promote their Ickleford Mews development, Jarvis commissioned Oyster to design a property brochure to market Rookery End.

Solution

Our graphic design team undertook extensive research about the local area and then developed a number of creative concepts for Jarvis to consider.

The chosen design had a vibrant rural feel, with a contemporary colour palette of teal and pastel greens. The logo reflects the name of the development by incorporating a number of rooks perched in a tree sprouting beautiful curved branches. This feature was deployed as a design treatment throughout the brochure. The chosen typography also follows the same curved theme, portraying a soft yet modern look.

The property brochure design was complemented with crisp photography, including tasteful interior images to showcase the quality of the properties under construction. The floor plans are simple and clear, ensuring they are easy to follow and understand.

Results

The colour palette, imagery and typography all reflected the fresh and beautiful English countryside in which the properties were being built but added a modern, classical feel.

Originally Jarvis wanted the brochure for online use only but after seeing the finished brochure, they decided to order a run of printed copies. The resulting property brochure was printed on a high-quality paper stock with a matt laminate cover to reflect the build and quality of the properties.
