A flagship exhibition stand design for Langley Holdings at Powergen 2026

Challenge

Langley Holdings required a new flagship exhibition stand for Powergen 2026 in San Antonio, Texas. The project scaled up significantly from their typical exhibition footprint. Oyster took over full design and project management of a 40ft x 40ft booth after the incumbent stand builder had to withdraw. This created immediate pressure on timelines, supplier selection and delivery risk.

With only seven weeks to complete the project, and the Christmas holiday period further reducing available working time, Oyster rapidly reviewed and appointed a new build partner. The new team needed to meet demanding technical, programme and quality requirements from day one.

The brief included two large-format LED walls measuring 4m x 5m, alongside the production and integration of a new SHIELDX solution display model. Oyster worked closely with the specialist model builder and carried out on-site visits to review build quality. The team also advised on international import and export requirements.

The stand’s prime location, directly facing the main hall entrance, further raised the stakes. For a client more accustomed to smaller stands, the project represented a major increase in scale, visibility and commercial importance.

Solution

Oyster delivered a scaled-up exhibition environment that maintained brand consistency while increasing visual impact. The newly appointed build partner brought a high standard of workmanship, strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do approach. This proved critical to delivering within the compressed timeframe.

The stand featured state-of-the-art LED walls with a fine 1.2mm pixel pitch, delivering exceptional image quality. These screens created a striking visual backdrop and immediately drew visitor attention from the main hall entrance.

The front LED wall framed the existing Bergen Engines display model to create an immediate focal point. Oyster planned a clear visitor journey through the space including solution walls with integrated LED lighting to support this flow. A front-facing interactive touchscreen display enabled the sales team to demonstrate the client’s technology in a clear and engaging way.

A second rear LED wall mirrored the front in specification. It displayed animated contextual content and framed the new display model. This reinforced the solution narrative across the stand.

Oyster rotated the entire stand structure by 45 degrees to directly face incoming footfall. This ensured the main LED wall faced visitors as they entered the hall and maximised visibility.

In parallel, Oyster produced new supporting brochures at pace. These provided the sales team with high-quality collateral to support conversations and reinforce key messages.

Result

The booth delivered a standout presence at Powergen 2026 and generated strong positive feedback. One neighbouring CEO described it as the best booth he had seen in 25 years at the show.

Visitors and exhibitors consistently praised the quality of finish and attention to detail. This reflected the strength of the new build team partnership and Oyster’s hands-on project management.

This new flagship stand positioned the client as a serious, high-profile player within the power sector. It delivered the right balance of scale, technical credibility and visual impact, leading to increased interest, on-stand visitors and potential business enquiries.

Oyster managed the construction on site and oversaw installation to ensure build standards were met. The team then managed the stand throughout the show, allowing the client to focus on meetings and sales conversations.

Oyster also managed breakdown and logistics with our team ensuring all the display models were safely packaged, the documentation completed and shipments correctly arranged for return.

The project is understood to have generated significant sales opportunities and commercial impact. It delivered a highly successful outcome for the client and reinforced Oyster’s capability to deliver complex, high-stakes flagship exhibition environments.
