Challenge

Developing marketing literature for the automotive sector giant Mercedes Benz Finance. To clearly communicate complex financial information in an easily digested way that reflected the aspirational nature of an established premium brand.

Oyster was approached to produce a range of B2B marketing and PoS materials that supported Mercedes range of financial products for commercial vehicles. Under the Mercedes-Benz CharterWay brand name, the objective was to provide commercial vehicle dealers with a suite of compelling literature that not only clearly communicated the detail of complex financial agreements but also conveyed the customer benefits, while at the same time differentiating these products from competitors.

Moreover, the challenge was to consistently implement the brand guidelines while creating striking, stylish marketing collateral to support the premium, design-led values of this prestigious brand.

We wanted to design marketing literature that educated and inspired and at the same time met all the needs of Mercedes-Benz’s target audiences. The resulting designs feature modern, clear typography, premium photography and a metallic silver print finish, all of which combined to uphold the high quality expected from Mercedes-Benz. As part of the brief, clear and concise brochure copy was developed to convey the desired messaging in a succinct way.

Our approach lifted customer perceptions of the finance options available through Mercedes-Benz CharterWay which then further reinforced the parent brand’s credibility and was subsequently rolled out across further marcomms materials and in-store PoS.
