HARPENDEN MARKETING AGENCY HIRES NEW ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, MAVIS AFRIYIE

Following a number of new business wins, leading Harpenden marketing agency, Oyster Studios, has recruited a second marketing account executive, Mavis Afriyie, to join its team.

Mavis graduated from The University of Wolverhampton in 2019 and studied Media, Communication and Film, achieving an impressive 2:1 overall.

She has worked in the customer service industry for over eight years, as well as in events. After graduating, she worked for Marks and Spencer as a customer advisor and an events administrator for St John Ambulance. During the crucial stages of Covid-19, Mavis was employed as a call-logger at St John, responding to important calls from ambulance crew members and members of the public.

Her interest in marketing stems from her dissertation, a research project on consumer culture and cultural intermediaries. She also spent a year doing outbound marketing and social media content marketing for video and media production company, FlairMedia. Mavis made a huge contribution in this role, liaising with clients via social media, email and face to face. 

Mavis is thrilled to have joined Oyster and looks forward to increasing her knowledge and experience in all areas of marketing.
